KAMAL HASSABOU
The Beginning
Our story starts with Kamal Hassabou, who discovered his passion for wood carving in 1977. Guided by patience and loyalty, he learned traditional techniques that would later become the foundation of Kamal Handmade.
Honing the Craft
During the 1980s, Kamal polished his skills with mixing hand carving with design experimentation. This period shaped his belief that a frame or mirror is not just decor, but a piece of art.

With a clear vision, Kamal founded Kamal Handmade, a workshop dedicated to creating handmade wood frames that carry both luxury and cultural tradition.

Building the Team
The first artisans joined the workshop, including Elsayed Fathy, a skilled carver whose techniques strengthened the craftsmanship and output of the brand.
MOHAMED SOBHY
Expanding Expertise
Mohamed Sobhy, an expert in traditional gilding, became part of the team, enriching the workshop with refined finishes and detailed artistry.
HAKIM EL BAATH
In 1979, I started my professional journey in 1996 as an expert in Gilding. I have skills in working with Gold, Silver, and Copper leaf gilding, and also water and oil gilding.
Of course, I participate in painting with various colors such as chalk paint and others.
MOHAMED BORAY
Wood carving specialist
Boray, a wood carving specialist, started his career in 2013. He creates complex designs by turning a piece of wood into classical art. Boray's has earned him a good reputation in craftsmanship.
MAHMOUD ESSAM
Gilding specialist
Mahmoud has been a gilder since 2020. He transforms objects into luxury art with his experience in gilding with golden leaf. Mahmoud has earned a nice reputation in the market with his high quality gilded pieces.
